So it turns out today is our last day on the air here at FiOS 1 news. We thought it was going to be Friday. I will continue with my blog posts through the week regardless. Today is Wednesday... and Wednesday is for weather (and traffic). Hey, I know which side my bread is buttered! People aren’t getting up and turning on the TV at 5 AM to hear the news (well, some aren’t anyway) most people are running around trying to get ready for work- or getting their kids ready for school- so they’re looking for the time, the weather, and traffic & transit reports. I may be the main anchor on the morning news but I know I’m not the main reason people tune in LOL. And those weather and traffic anchors are pretty talented. Ever hear of the green screen? Basically they stand in front of a blank (literally) green screen - with no maps, no video, nothing on it- pointing to it and talking about the maps and videos YOU see at home. I could never do that! I would be pointing to New Jersey while talking about Long Island LOL. The funny part about the green screen is - you can’t wear green while standing in front of it because you will disappear! That’s too bad because green is my favorite color. Fortunately, I don’t have to stand in front of the screen. You may notice the traffic and weather anchors don’t wear green. So they might be green with envy when I sport my fave color (see what I did there?!)
So as we say goodbye to the viewers – I also say goodbye to my favorite weather and traffic team... who, no matter how bad the weather or traffic was, always kept their cool. I know they’ll get around this bump in the road... and will be made in the shade. 😎

Thank you!
