Labor Day is a day dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. Most people have the day off. I’ve been working on Labor Day for as long as I can remember. There are no holidays in TV news. This Labor Day is a bittersweet one... as it just might be the last Labor Day I have to work. Since FiOS1 News is shutting down in November, I’m not sure yet what my next step will be. It could be a job outside of this business... which is exciting... but at the same time, it’s scary. But, for now, I will celebrate this Labor Day with my coworkers... I’ll celebrate the fact that I have been fortunate to have a job that I have loved... family and friends who support me... and an optimistic outlook on life. So, here’s to laboring on this Labor Day.... and hoping that my next job or career will be as fulfilling as this one has been.
